A WALK THROUGH TIME

Illinois history just got a little more interesting at HBT! Fourth grade teacher, Julia Leffelman proposed purchasing a state history play kit to be used at her grade level. The play package offers the chance for students to learn through music, movement, and memorization. A vast amount of Illinois history is covered in fourth grade and this kit will have students become active learners through the multiple learning modalities which are a part of live theater. It has even been suggested that performances can be used a fundraiser to support state-related field trips or other activities which promote continued learning.
