As a result of last year’s grant, Central High School’s Book Club was very successful. Kristin Bushman, a teacher in the English department at Central High School, reported that many students share a love of reading and need an outlet to meet and discuss books in a non-threatening environment. This year’s money will be used to allow more students to participate for each title they read. Two meetings have to be scheduled to accommodate all the students! Kristin has enjoyed seeing how the club has fostered the love of reading, hopefully encouraging the students to be life-long readers.
